Apple products and software coming out in 2022

Apple is rumoured to have quite a few interesting new products in the pipeline that we can expect to see released throughout 2022. Here are some of the rumoured releases:

iPad Air

A new iPad Air is on the horizon, and this one is rumoured to be similar to the sixth gen iPad Mini. This new version will feature an A15 Bionic chip and 5G connectivity for cellular devices, meaning it should be lightning-quick and allow you to connect to the Internet on the move.

It’s also set to feature a 12-megapixel ultra-wide front camera with Centre Stage support. This technology uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera when you’re using apps like FaceTime, keeping you and others in the frame, even as you move around.

It’s expected to have a 10.9” LCD display, feature a USB-C port, a touch ID power button and will come in various colours.

Improved Macbook Air

Many people are still using the Macbook Air 2020 M1, so they may be disappointed to see that a newer iteration is already on the cards. This version is rumoured to be similar to the earlier Macbook Air in many ways, but with key differences.

The new version will be thinner and lighter, with smaller bezels and a mini-LED display. It will also feature MagSafe charging technology, USB-C ports and a new-and-improved version of the M1 chip. The new chip will enable this device to deliver superior graphics and faster speeds than its predecessor.

For those who have just purchased the 2020 model and are now wondering, “where can I sell my Macbook Air?”, reach out to us today and we can give you some cash to put towards the new version.

iPad Pro

This enhanced iteration of the iPad will come with some distinct features, such as an 11” screen and a glass back that enables wireless charging. It also comes with a reverse charging feature, meaning the device itself can be used to charge other devices, such as AirPods.

iPhone 14

iPhone enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting this latest version of Apple’s signature product. 4 models are expected to be released in 2022, including the 6.1” iPhone 14, the 6.7” iPhone 14 Max, the 6.1” iPhone 14 Pro and the 6.7” iPhone 14 Pro Max.

These models will use a ‘hole-punch’ design that dispenses of the older notch to allow for a larger screen and display area. Other interesting features include titanium frames for Pro models, better cameras, faster chips and improved 5G connectivity.

AR/VR Headset

With all the hype surrounding VR technology, it was only a matter of time before Apple jumped on the bandwagon. The tech giant is supposedly working on a headset that features a high-end display, built-in processor and a dedicated operating system.

The device is not going to make use of handsets, rather, it is said to be activated and receive input through touch panels, the human voice and hand gestures. This device is expected to be quite pricey and may not release until 2023.
